Recorded at the 1996 Saint Joseph Forum Midwest Catholic Conference
An excellent rundown of the Church's social teaching in the words of Father Denis Fahey (1883-1954). Fahey's six points, rather than being a "game-plan" for conversion, are actually a set of conditions on a national plane under which the Church can be fruitful.
One key-note of the lecture is John's discussion of sound economic practice, where he clearly lays out the threefold economic pillars of a functional society: food, labor and money, and their proper role and emphasis in a just society. The recognition of these principles is desperately needed in our post-industrial revolution society.
