The new bible is 6" x 9" and 1632 pages. That is more than the old one because the font is larger. It is exactly the same text, just more readable.

Even after all of the modern "revisions" of the bible that are now available to Catholics, many still think that the Douay-Rheims version, (the only English translation of the Catholic Vulgate bible in use for almost 400 years) is the very best ever produced. We at Loreto agree that what was good enough for thirty generations of English-speaking  Catholics and countless Saints and Matyrs is still good enough for us. The text is clear and easy to read and the two satin ribbons mark the pages where your daily reading is to begin. This Bible fills the need for a small (6" x 9" x 1.5") good quality hardbound Douay-Rheims bible. It is a perfect gift for Christmas, First Communions, Confirmations, weddings, birthdays, etc. and is also great for those who want a portable bible which is legible, durable, and handsome.

This publication of the Douay-Rheims Bible is a FANTASTIC! A mighty fine hardbound book, 2 ribbons, very good paper, line-matched print with good ink, very easy to read font size, and each page is formatted so nicely that it’s a joy to navigate the book. You folks at Loreto Publication have done an outstanding job! Thank you, and God bless!! ✝️
Hello I received the Doauy Rhiems Bible in the mail today and I looked through it and it's one of the best bible of the translation and the font size and boldness of the Bible is what makes it one of the best Doauy Rheims out in the market better than Baronius Press and St Benedict Press
Thank you Loreto Publications for making this beautiful Bible!, if Loreto Publications decides to come out with any more Bible translations other than the DR, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it or any more releases of the DR Bible if Loreto Publications decides to make another.
I do have one question though, what size is the font size of this Bible? I heard some say it is a 11 point font and some say it is a 12 point font
Thank You and God bless you all!
Traditional Catholic Bible in the Douay-Rheims!
My 13year old daughter is very happy with it and she goes to a catholic school.
God bless whoever created this listing for crediting the Author!
After reading the preface of the RSV and NAB editions of the bible and learning that they they were translated in consultation with non-Catholics, I was done with them. I would like to get the big Haydock at some point, but this is a great bible to carry around easily, and Douay-Rheims is the official translation of the Catholic Church. I don't know why a Catholic would use any other translation. This edition looks and feels terrific, and is very well made.
The quality and readability of this Bible gives evidence of clear reverence to God and attention to the needs of the faithful reader.

Though not a large Bible, the font is definitely large enough to be very readable. The care and craft that has been given to the making of this Bible is very clear, and it will be my companion for many years.
This version of the DR Bible is wonderful. The size is quite portable and is very sturdy. I returned several other versions of this bible because the font, while advertised as large or at 11 points was tiny and then the notes even smaller.

This bible's font is very easy to read and introductions to bible sections a nice size. The footnotes are also a bit bigger than what I had expected.

I would definitely endorse the purchase of this bible/vendor if you have issues with small print bibles
Have read many catholic & protestant bibles, found this & was (at least for me) amazed how the old testament just came alive. It was as if I was reading my own story. Wife started reading it said the same. (Had to buy another). - Only down side:The original names given the old testament books/prophets can be confusing.
in the psalms chapters why didn't you print the psalm that says, the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want, etc. etc. I have seen it, in other bibles in the psalms section chapter 22. it worries me so, to see so many changes in our catholic religion in every level, no wonder the mess we are in. A very worried catholic......
LORETO'S ANSWER

The Psalm 22 that you have quoted above is not a Catholic translation - it is the protestant King James version. It does not appear with that wording because this is a Catholic bible - not a protestant one.
